Welcome to the Village of Wagon Mound
The Village of Wagon Mound lies on the Santa Fe Trail in Mora County beneath a butte in the shape of a Conestoga wagon. Formerly named Santa Clara and Pinkerton (after the famous Wild West railroad detective agency), it was incorporated as Wagon Mound in 1918.
The Village currently has about 123 households, offering natural gas, sewage treatment, solid waste removal and some of the best spring-fed water in the entire region. Wagon Mound is a small community offering big-city amenities in a rural setting.
This website will provide you with recent information from the Village Hall. We will provide monthly agendas, minutes, and information about upcoming events. You may also communicate to Village staff through this website.
